AION 2 Kinah (Kina) Farming Guide
First, the naming: the global client calls the currency Kina, while most of the community — and half the internet — still writes Kinah. Same coins, same grind. This guide covers where Kina actually comes from at the level cap, how the Market works, and why the players who feel rich are usually just the ones who stopped wasting it.

How the economy is built
AION 2 deliberately keeps raw currency scarce. Monsters drop little coin; the real economy runs through the Market (player-to-player trading) and through Odyle Energy, the resource that gates bonus rewards from gathering and dungeons. Understanding those two systems matters more than any single farming spot.
The four real sources of Kina
| SOURCE | WHAT IT IS | WHO IT SUITS |
|---|---|---|
| Duties & Command Scrolls | Daily and weekly tasks paying Kina, materials and sellable items. The reliable baseline income — never skip them. | Everyone, every day |
| Dungeon runs | Fire Temple, Draupnir and Sealed Dungeons drop gear, Stigmas and materials that sell well, especially early in a patch cycle. | Players with a steady group |
| Gathering with Odyle Energy | Spend banked Energy on high-level gathering nodes — the materials feed crafting and sell consistently on the Market. | Solo players, high-ping players |
| Market trading | Buy low, sell high: patch days crash some prices and spike others. Requires capital and attention, but outearns raw farming at scale. | Players who enjoy the economy |
The Market and the membership wall
Here is the uncomfortable part: the Market requires the $15/month membership to list items. Free players can vendor, gather and run dungeons, but they cannot participate in the player economy where the real margins live. If you plan to trade seriously, the membership is not an expense — it is the cost of entry, and a single good week of Market play covers it. See the full membership breakdown for the math.
Odyle Energy is money
Every point of Odyle Energy you spend at the cap converts into sellable materials. Three rules: spend it at maximum-level nodes and dungeons only, never while leveling; spend it early in the week so weekly limits do not waste your regeneration; and check Market prices before deciding between gathering and dungeon spending — the better option shifts with each patch.
The mistakes that keep players broke
Opening reward cubes at low level (they scale with level — wait for 45). Enhancing gear you will replace within a week. Ignoring Command Scrolls, the single most efficient Kina-per-minute activity in the game. And panic-selling materials the day before a patch — check the patch history to see how often the meta, and therefore prices, have moved.
A note on RMT
Third-party Kina sellers exist, and NCSoft bans for it — the September anti-macro wave removed thousands of accounts, buyers included. Beyond the ban risk, bought currency undercuts the entire point of AION 2's scarcity economy. Farm it, trade for it, or buy the official Quna↔Kina exchange — those are the options that keep your account.
