AION 2 System Requirements: Can Your PC Run It?
AION 2 is a PC-only Unreal Engine 5 title, and it asks more of your machine than the original ever did. The good news: the official requirements are moderate by 2026 standards. The bad news: minimum spec means questing, not sieging. Below are the official specs plus the settings that actually matter for big fights.

What minimum spec really means
A GTX 1050 Ti and 8 GB of RAM will run Episode Quests and five-player content at reduced settings — but the Abyss, with two factions of players on screen, is where UE5 earns its reputation. If you are anywhere near minimum, treat solo leveling as your baseline experience and expect to fight the settings menu before your first fortress battle. The jump that matters most is GPU memory: 4 GB cards stutter on texture streaming in crowded zones, while 8 GB cards hold up.
The settings that matter most
In rough order of frames gained per quality lost: lower shadow quality first (the single biggest cost in UE5 titles), then effects quality (critical in sieges where fifty players cast at once), set character display limit to low for fortress fights, disable motion blur and camera shake (free performance and better combat clarity), and keep textures as high as your VRAM allows — they cost frames only when they overflow. Resolution scale or DLSS/FSR, if available on your card, is the lever of last resort.
Laptops and Steam Deck
Modern gaming laptops at or above RTX 3060 mobile class run the game comfortably; anything older should expect low settings. Steam Deck and other handhelds are below the minimum GPU bar and the game is not verified — playable experiments exist on low settings at reduced resolution, but this is not a supported path. And note for everyone: the game is PC-only at launch. There is no console version.
The other requirement: your connection
Hardware is only half the equation. AION 2's combat is timing-sensitive, and a 200ms connection hurts more than a weak GPU. If you are far from the servers, read the high ping guide — and if you have not picked a class yet, know that some classes cope with latency far better than others.
